Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Front End Wheel Loader Operator to join our team at a small manufacturing facility with a 30,000 square foot warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a front-end wheel loader to manage a wood yard of wood chips, load materials, and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end wheel loader to efficiently manage a wood yard, including organizing and handling wood chips.
• Load materials onto conveyor or designated areas, ensuring accurate and safe placement.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure the wheel loader's optimal performance.
• Manage and organize the wood yard, including proper storage and arrangement of wood chips.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and promote a secure working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate loading schedules and meet production requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper disposal of waste materials.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a front-end wheel loader operator, preferably in a manufacturing or wood yard setting.
• Valid front-end wheel loader operator certification.
• Ability to operate a front-end wheel loader safely and efficiently, with attention to detail.
• Understanding of wood yard management, including handling and organizing wood chips.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and a willingness to follow safety protocols.
